I am pretty sure wherever you live and whatever cab services you use, you must have encountered the worst services provided by Ola Cabs. Lately, I have heard same ordeal from many users. But here I will share my experience of past few years that made me sure that I will never use the cab services of Ola again ever in my life. I am sure many of you might be of different opinion and it is ok to have a different opinion based on your experience.
There is no doubt that over the past few years Ola Cabs has improved a lot but core services didn’t changed much where cab drivers tend to cancel trips frequently without giving any proper justification hence causing huge inconvenience to customers like us who often uses cab services for commuting.

Drivers cancelling cab due to some genuine reasons is quite obvious and expected but cancelling every time you book is definitely not expected and can’t be justified as well. It becomes a nightmare when you have to go somewhere urgently and you can’t afford to miss your flight, bus or train but without thinking of all these things suddenly you will see driver cancelling your trip without any accountability of the actions taken.
This happened with me when my flight was there at 9 AM in the morning and I booked a cab for 6 AM well before the time. But at the last moment cab driver cancelled the cab. I immediately panicked because I spent around Rs25000 on flight ticket which was non-refundable. I somehow tried to book cab from another cab service provider and luckily after 15 mins I got another cab. So I went with it. Then I got a call from another ola cab informing me that he is coming to my location in next 10 mins.
By that time, I was already on my way so I told him not to come. He insisted me to cancel the ride and I cancelled. They shamelessly deducted Rs100 for cancelling the ride. First, they did not provided any services on time and then on top of that they deducted my money from my account without providing any service. That day I promised myself never to use this worst cab service provider.
On the other hand, if driver cancels the cab then there is no penalty to pay. In many cases, after receiving the booking, drivers first call customers to check if they are going to pay through cash or wallet, destination where customer is traveling etc. and then decide whether to come at the pick up point or not as per their convenience. I am sure Ola cabs are already aware of all these scenarios but till now not much has been done to deal with this problem.
In many instances, lot of customers reported rude and insane behavior of drivers while commuting but there is no one to look at all these. In many occasions, they won’t even hesitate to misbehave with ladies and senior citizen customers whose security and responsibility are utmost important. Just for few bucks, they seem to be ready to cross all the limits.
If we try to reach out to ola customer care support to complain about all these then there is barely anyone to listen to our grievances. We will just get a response that according to company policy appropriate action would be taken against the cab driver but who knows if any action has ever initiated. At the end of the day, it is the customer who even after paying all the asked amount has to go through this trauma to reach their destination.
